New meeting between technology companies and hoteliers
For the first time we organised an event in Bilbao to meet with hoteliers from the area with the aim of talking, debating and sharing key issues about the digitalisation of the sector.
On July 26th we received the visit of the vice-president of the Government of the Balearic Islands and Minister of Innovation, Research and Tourism, Biel Barceló, and the president of the Consell Insular de Menorca, Susana Mora.
Last May 13th, I had the pleasure to participate as a speaker at the Joomla Day held in Madrid.
It was a sensational event, held at the Google Campus Madrid, which gave us all the impression that, despite the unstoppable advance of WordPress, Joomla developers still have a lot to say, especially in Spain, where WordPress development tends to produce low quality websites.
We presented the CloudHotelier project at the Innovem 2017 fair in Menorca, our island :)
CloudHotelier is a set of open-source tools for the accommodation sector that allows you to build websites with integrated booking system quickly and economically. It includes templates (themes), booking system, and management system (PMS + CRM).
Our objective is to provide technological sovereignty to small and medium-sized companies in the sector, so that they can face up to the big intermediaries, independently and directly exploiting their own channel, their website.
CloudHotelier aims to offer a complete suite of technological solutions in the cloud. The most outstanding feature of our products is that they are based on the open-source model, as they are extensions for Joomla and WordPress, the most popular tools globally for website development.
Our goal is that CloudHotelier becomes the reference tool when developing a hotel website, as WordPress is for creating blogs, or Magento, Prestashop or WooCommerce are for developing online shops.
This year we have been the winners of the Jove Emprenedor de Menorca innovators contest, thanks to our CloudHotelier booking system.
