A charming Boutique Hotel in the heart of Ciutadella de Menorca

We explain the example of Divina Suites, a hotel that considered the complete digitalisation of its business from the very moment it opened.

Divina Suites is a Boutique Hotel located in the centre of Ciutadella, in a 17th century listed building, restored respecting the Minorcan stately architecture and only a few steps away from the beautiful Cathedral of this famous town. Its vaults and the typical boinder so characteristic of the island give it a unique personality.

This dream establishment is made up of 8 suites designed by the architect and interior designer Sebastià Pons, with a unique design that combines comfort and modernity with respect for the environment and the surroundings.

It is an adults-only hotel without communal areas that opened its doors at the end of August 2018.

We spoke with Lina Pons, its director, about the integration of the hotel's operations with GuestProyand how the whole process went, from the choice of the technological partner to the implementation and onboarding.

Being the first foray into the hotel sector, the owners were looking for precisely that, a specialised technological partner with experience in seasonal hotels in the Balearic Islands. According to the managers of Divina Suites, this has given them stability in their bookings, with fewer cancellations than those coming through the big OTAs. A well-integrated booking engine on the website has allowed them direct contact with their customers and, in this sense, they have seen a clear increase in the number of repeat customers thanks to the loyalty they have achieved.

Divina Suites is about to start its fourth season at 100%. The 2019 season was an absolute success as was the case throughout the hotel sector, one of the best in its history. After an irregular season due to the pandemic in 2020, the 2021 season was undoubtedly the season of recovery with particularly excellent results in July and August. Now for the new season they hope to continue the upward trend and are already thinking about improving the check-in experience.
