This historic establishment in the heart of Palma joins the GuestPro family in a clear commitment to modernisation and digitisation

We started the month of February with an intense week in Palma to accompany the staff of Hotel Saratoga in the process of implementing our PMS. Living this experience, being in the front line during these moments is, without a doubt, a special moment for the GuestPro team.

A few days later we talked to Juan Manuel Pocovi, assistant manager of the hotel, and Marian Busquets, marketing manager, to find out more about their hotel and how the implementation was carried out.

A hotel with tradition and history

Hotel Saratoga is a 4-star Superior, a reference in the Majorcan capital, with a history that dates back to 1962. Founded by the Borrás family, it continues today as a family business managed by the third generation. It was one of the first urban hotels and a point of reference in the city of Palma and has stood out from the outset both for its privileged location just a stone's throw from the sea and right in the centre of the city and for the modernity of its facilities.

It currently has 8 floors, 6 of which are occupied by rooms and the rest by its two restaurants, swimming pools, gymnasium and a large solarium with a heated semi-open-air swimming pool open all year round. Their top priority is customer satisfaction, which is why they are constantly updating and renewing their services and facilities. A sober design, elegant decoration, state-of-the-art technological equipment and attention to detail are the hallmarks of a modern and elegant hotel which, despite its continuous renovations, has managed to maintain its family and historical character.

The time to go digital

In 2023, Hotel Saratoga is facing a new update that, although less visible to guests, will be fundamental to its daily operations: modernising its PMS.

To do so, it has chosen GuestPro.

The hotel management was demanding a series of tools that their PMS did not include. It was time to make a change in the daily management of the business.

Undoubtedly, this is a major change for a hotel that is still operating at the time of the change. After a week of intense work, Hotel Saratoga has gone from using a PMS that was obsolete due to the daily workload, to having a cloud PMS that will surely improve its administrative productivity, the relationship with its guests and direct sales.
